Supporters of the adoption of Article 20 of the UN Convention gathered at the walls of the Parliament of Abkhazia

Protesters announced that the action is perpetual.

Sukhum. February 4. Apsnypress. The initiative group of supporters of adoption of the law "On declaration of income, expenses, property and property obligations by public servants and deputies" gathered at the square, near the walls of the Parliament of Abkhazia.
 
 The protesters set up tents and announced that the action would last until parliamentarians voted to pass the bill. “We will not leave until the law is passed, even if it takes a month or two. Article 20 of the UN is necessary for our country, ” said the representative of the protesters Dzhansukh Adleyba.  
 
Nevertheless, as Izida Chaniya notes in “Features of the National Fight against Corruption:“ Many deputies give weighty arguments related to impossibility of implementing this law in the current conditions. They talk about the lack of a property valuation system and personal tax accounting, banking secrecy. Specialists draw attention to the fact that without a global tax reform that will allow the use of modern control and accounting technologies, and without universal declaration, this beautiful idea can turn into a formality. ”
