Symposium on Medical and Biological Safety in Abkhazia

Ministry of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia was offered to host an international symposium of the Association "Water - Health - Environment" on the territory of Abkhazia.
Sukhum. August 18. Apsnypress. The proposal came from the doctor of medical sciences, professor, president of the association "Water - Health - Environment", a member of the Academy of Medical Sciences Yuri Rahmanin.
At a meeting with the Minister of Health Andzor Goov, the academician said: "The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the International Association" Water -Health- Ecology "- all of these organizations hold joint symposia on medical and biological safety. This year there was an idea to hold such event in Abkhazia".
According Rachmanin, symposia - a powerful tool in the prevention of public health, as well as preserving the environment. On its site will be discussed the problems of water supply, waste management, in particular, medical waste, production of bottled water and the theme of longevity. "We hope to meet support here", - said Yuri Rahmanin.
For his part, Minister of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia said: "We will make every effort to conduct the symposium. I think that through this event, we will learn valuable skills that can be applied".
"Ecology of the country is a very relevant theme in Abkhazia . It is important to preserve and increase what our ancestors left us ", - said Deputy Minister of Health Batal Katsiya.
After agreeing this project with the government, the symposium will be scheduled from October 24 to November 3.
