Tax receipts for January - February 2015 are two times higher than at the same period in 2014

"Tax revenues in January-February 2015 are two times higher than at the same period in 2014. This is largely due to the fact that with the assistance of the General Prosecutor's Office have been collected tax arrears from 2013", - the Head of the State Tax Inspectorate of Sukhum Batal Dzyapshba.

According Dzyapshba, tax revenues could be even more, but due to the rise in the dollar, prices for many goods and, as a consequence, reduce the purchase power of the population. According to him, to improve the efficiency of tax services, it is necessary to reform the tax system in Abkhazia.

For this purpose the inspection together with the State Tax Service of Abkhazia has developed a number of amendments to the current tax law and brought them to the economic department of the Presidential Administration. Among the proposed measures, in particular, increased penalties for failure to use cash registers entrepreneurs and withholding income tax on business income exceeding one million rubles.
