The book market is not in an easy situation, but circulation is increasing - Daur Nachkebiya
Every year around the world on April 23 people celebrate the World Book Day and Copyright Day.

Sukhum. April 23. Apsnypress. According to the director of the Abkhazian State Publishing House Daur Nachkebiya, the book market is in difficult situation, but the circulation of the publication of books is increasing. "It looked like an e-book would prevail over the paper, but these predictions did not come true".

Abkhazian state publishing house is over 80 years. It mainly publishes in the Abkhazian language.

Publishing house produces about 60 - 65 different books in circulation on average from 300 to 500 copies, and more popular editions - up to 2,000 copies a year.

"Due to the fact that the printing press, unfortunately, is not equipped with modern equipment, most of the books are published outside Abkhazia. This situation needs to be corrected", - said Nachkebiya.

"We have a rich literature, readers have a great choice. But more in demand is prose. Especially when the work covers topics of our everyday life. A good reader is like a good writer", - said Daur Nachkebiya.
