The Cabinet discussed preliminary results of analysis of the effectiveness of VAT

Alexander Ankvab suggested organizing a meeting on June 19, at 16:00, with entrepreneurs whose activities are normatively exempt from VAT.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia, Alexander Ankvab, at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economics Kristina Ozgan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Vladimir Delba and Minister of Taxes and Duties Daur Kurmaziya discussed preliminary results of analysis of effectiveness of value added tax. 

Representatives of the Government reported on the results of interagency cooperation to develop a concept for amending the law on payment of import VAT. According to them, a preliminary analysis of the effectiveness of VAT has been carried out, as well as proposals from business representatives to amend the regulations defining the principles of VAT payment.

Following the meeting, Alexander Ankvab suggested organizing a meeting tomorrow with entrepreneurs, whose activities are normatively exempt from VAT, tomorrow at June 19, at 16:00.
