The Cabinet of Ministers discussed a bill on a single social tax

Acting President, Prime Minister met with members of the working group.

Sukhum. 24 February. Apsnypress. Acting President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Prime Minister Valery Bganba met with members of the working group to develop a new bill on a single social tax.
 
 Opening the meeting, Valery Bganba noted: “Today, the Government Office has already developed a draft document, we will discuss it with you and send it for approval to the relevant departments. I would like to say that the new unified social tax should improve the instruments for fulfilling state obligations in the field of pension and social security, implementing the state policy to support people with disabilities, the repatriation policy. ” According to him, the development of a new bill is due to the need to change the current system of administration and expenditure of funds received as mandatory social payments from taxpayers.
 
 According to the project under discussion, it is planned to reduce the tax burden from 20% to 18% for organizations, to abolish deductions from employees' salaries (currently 1%), as well as to pay a single social tax not to different accounts of several funds, but to one account at a time. The bill provides for equalization of taxation conditions between public and private organizations by eliminating existing benefits for social taxation of employees of state organizations.
 
As a result of the meeting, Valery Bganba instructed to amend the document accordingly, taking into account the fact that the bill should guarantee the improvement of the quality of the state programs in the field of pension and social welfare of citizens, the provision of medical care, medical and social rehabilitation and the organization of sanatorium-resort services for invalids of the War of Abkhazia, etc.
