The Cabinet of Ministers discussed the draft Investment Program

The RA Cabinet of Ministers discussed the agenda and draft decisions on the upcoming meeting of Intergovernmental Commission.

Sukhum. November 22. Apsnypress. RA Prime Minister Valery Bganba at the meeting with Abkhaz representatives of the Intergovernmental Commission on Socio-Economic Cooperation between the RA and the Russian Federation discussed issues of the upcoming 18th meeting of the IC, which will be held in Sukhum in the first decade of December 2019.
 
 Opening the meeting, Prime Minister introduced the new head of the State Administration for Construction Timur Agrba, and informed that Minister of Economy of the Republic of Abkhazia is in charge of implementation of the Investment Program.
 
 The meeting participants discussed the agenda and draft decisions of the upcoming IC meeting, exchanged views on specific points of the Investment Program, the events of which are to be approved at the 18th meeting.
 
 Valery Bganba said that taking into account the limits of budget allocations provided in the draft Federal Budget of Russia for 2020, the total funding for the new Investment Program for 3 years will amount to 4 billion 500 million rubles, that is, annually - 1 billion 500 million rubles, respectively.
 
 Adgur Ardzinba, representative of the Abkhazian part of the IC, reported on the main directions and activities of the future Investment program: “Within this amount, the activities are distributed over 3 years, mainly repair of roads, infrastructure, and restoration of electric power networks. One of the main social facilities included in the construction plans is the Children's Republican Hospital. ”
 
 As Ardzinba explained, the building of the current children's hospital does not meet the norms and standards, therefore, it was decided to erect a new one on the territory of the Republican Hospital in Sukhum: “This will allow us to use the equipment and machinery that were previously purchased for the Republican Hospital and create a single center with high-quality equipment comprehensive spectrum of action.
 
 In addition, in accordance with agreements of the leadership of Abkhazia and Russia, the project of the future Investment program will include work on the design of a prison in the republic.
 
 Also, the meeting discussed the implementation of the current Investment program.
