The Concept of development of secondary-vocational education

Minister of Education and Science Adgur Kakoba told about the state of post-secondary educational institutions of the republic and the prospects for the development of this educational level.

According to the Minister of Education and Science Adgur Kakoba, the Ministry developed the Concept of development of initial vocational and secondary vocational education. Soon it will be submitted for approval to the Cabinet of Ministers. "In the process of creation the concept, we met with many of our colleagues from the Russian Federation, discussed the matter, invited to Abkhazia Deputy Minister of Education and Science Alexander Klimov, showed him the state of our colleges. And we were promised to include an additional comprehensive plan reconstruction, to begin from Sukhum State College. And then, gradually, in 2018, try in other areas to begin repair work ", - Kakoba said. At the same time, he noted that according to preliminary estimates, the cost of renovation of the building will be about 300 million rubles, roughly, the same need to equip the institution.
 
The Minister informed that today there are 6 secondary special educational institutions that produce service professionals and tourism, mechanics, teachers of primary classes, chefs, drivers and others in Abkhazia. In this case, the number of post-secondary educational institutions, as well as expanded the list of professions offered by applicants should be increased in the country. "There is a  need in builders, welders and other specialists. It is necessary to create all conditions for people finishing school to get a a profession, especially popular in our country. And for this we need to develop vocational education ", - said Adgur Kakoba.
 
The concept of secondary education involves the opening relevant colleges and schools in each area . "Even weak children after grade 9 we transfer in grade 10, but  with this concept there will be a possibility to refocus them on these institutions", - said Kakoba.
 
In addition, Head of the Department of Education of the Administration of Sukhum Lyudmila Adleyba noted that the development of specialized secondary-level education is necessary for secondary schools to create educational and industrial complexes. "Our children are not attached to the work. There are no conditions in secondary schools for this ", - said Adleyba. At the same time, she noted that the town budget of Sukhum for 2017 includes funds for the construction of the educational industrial complex, where children will receive the appropriate skills. "Most likely, it will be at one of the schools. Children will take scheduled lessons of labor there", - said Adleyba.
