Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia Vitaly Gabniya, who led the Abkhaz delegation, congratulated NKR President Bako Sahakyan and all the people of the republic on this significant date.
Vitaly Gabniya noted that Nagorno-Karabakh had the most difficult path to the main goal - independence. He stressed that it is especially important for Abkhazians to be in that day along with the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. "You managed to defend the country, to restore historical justice. You managed to create a successful, dynamic and developing country, despite the absence of a broad international recognition. You managed to curb crime, to build a country where there is the term "organized crime". You have a strong diaspora, which restored half of the country, being socially oriented. The opposition does ruin the political stability, which indicates the maturity of civil society ", - said Gabniya.
Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia also expressed the hope to strengthen further cooperation between the two states.
At a festive reception Abkhaz delegation met with counterparts from South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and also discussed issues of interstate cooperation.
During the visit the Abkhazian delegation scheduled a number of meetings on the issues of further development of relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
The Abkhazian delegation was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia Vagharshak Kosyan and Acting Deputy Foreign Minister Kan Taniya.
