The delegation of the DPRK Chamber of Commerce arrived in Abkhazia

The delegation led by President of the DPRK Chamber of Commerce, Ryu Hyun Chor arrived in Abkhazia with a return visit.

Sukhum. November 27. Apsnypress. There was held a press conference with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia and the DPRK delegation was held in Sukhum. As it was noted during the press conference, the purpose of the visit is to discuss topical issues aimed at developing friendly and trade-economic relations between the two countries, as well as to present the economic potential of the DPRK to the Abkhaz business community.
 
 President of the Chamber of Commerce of Abkhazia Tamila Mertskhulava spoke about establishing relations between the chambers of the DPRK and the RA: “In December 2017 President of the DPRK Chamber of Commerce sent an official letter to the former president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Gennady Gaguliya with a proposal to establish first contacts and official cooperation between our chambers. Six months after the negotiations, we made the first official trip to Pyongyang on a three-day working visit, in which we signed an official bilateral cooperation agreement with the DPRK Chamber of Commerce. In addition, we visited a number of enterprises. We were very impressed by this country - a successful in its development republic. ”
 
 In addition, Mertskhulava said that in the framework of her visit to Pyongyang, the issue of establishing a joint production for processing exotic fruits was discussed.
 
 Tamila Mertskhulava noted that a delegation arrived in Abkhazia with a return visit has something to tell and to offer to the Abkhaz business community. "The main goal that we are pursuing - an increase in turnover. The trade turnover between Abkhazia and the DPRK in 2017 amounted to 4.5 million rubles, and in the first half of this year - a half million rubles. Maybe these are not the amounts that I would like to talk about, but most importantly, there is a desire to develop trade and economic relations and talk about possible cooperation with our entrepreneurs. That's the purpose the delegation arrived in Abkhazia, ” - Mertskhulava said.
 
 For his part, President of the DPRK Chamber of Commerce, Ryu Hen Chor, thanked the Abkhaz Chamber of Commerce for inviting the delegation and a warm welcome.
 
 “In August of this year, a delegation of the Abkhaz Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Tamila Mertskhulava came to Pyongyang, they visit our companies. Thanks to this visit, our people learned about Abkhazia. Many companies are interested in your country. Especially the construction company. Some companies have become interested in various agricultural products, ” - said Ryu-Hyun Chor.
 
 Ryu Hyun Chor told about the representatives of the companies that were included in the delegation: “Kyvon” foreign trade company producing engines, the cooperation company in the field of equipment “Thosson” - produces health-improving products, such as blood cleaning tea, tooth powder, textile, "Choyang" - manufacturer of terry products, also this company is ready to supply souvenirs, oil paintings, etc.
 
 Ryu Hen Chor stressed that after the signing of the Agreement in August of this year, representatives of the CC came to the conclusion that there was much in common between the two countries.
 
At the same time, president of DPRK CC noted they are ready to cooperate.
