The purpose of the senators' visit is to discuss plans for further joint work with the deputies of the new convocation of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of Abkhazia.
Sukhum. 19 September. Apsnypress. The delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation arrived in the Republic of Abkhazia with a working visit.
The purpose of the visit of the senators is to discuss plans for further joint work with the deputies of the new convocation of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia, including within the framework of the permanent commission for cooperation between the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia.
Within the framework of the visit, on September 20, there are planned the meeting of the members of the delegation with the Speaker of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia Valery Kvarchia, as well as the extended working session of the Interparliamentary Commission.
In addition, during the visit, representatives of the Federation Council plan to visit the places of dislocations of the Russian military contingent of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The delegation includes: First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, Deputy Co-Chair of the Cooperation Commission of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Serebrennikov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Mukharbek Didigov, members of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Olga Kovitidi and Alexei Kondratiev, the head of the staff of the Council and Federation Valery Pomogaybin and a leading advisor on the staff of the Committee Konstantin Kopaev.
