The elections to the local self-government were held in Abkhazia
There will be repeated election in Sukhum, Gulrypsh and Tkuarchal areas.

Sukhum. April 4. Apsnypress. Irena Dzhopua. The elections to local government bodies were held in all regions of the country, except  Gal. In all districts, except three, elections were held. Because of detected violations, repeated elections are scheduled in Sukhum, Gulripsh and Tkuarchal districts, due to the fact that two of the three candidates running for seats received an equal number of votes.

Secretary of the Election Commission of Gagra district Vladimir Vardaya said that the elections were held, and the voter turnout was 46% according to preliminary data with the total number of registered voters of 24 000 people.

«The elections took place without incident. Gagra police station fully ensured the safety of the elections ", - he said.

In Gudauta district elections were also held in all districts, and the voter turnout was 55%, the chairman of the Gudauta ROVD Lawrence Gubaz. "The elections were held at a high level, people had a festive mood, there were no contentious issues", - he said.

In Gudauta district on 29 seats ran 64 candidates, including 6 women in local government bodies, four women had passed.

In Sukhum district elections were held in 14 of the 15 districts, according to the chairman of the election commission of Sukhum district Beslan Dzhopua. "In the 12th district were violations, there will be held repeated election, which by law must be hold in the next two months", - he said. On the whole, he said that the elections were held peacefully in the area and at a good level. Voter turnout in Sukhum district was 42%, of the total registered - 6 611.

In Gulripsh district out of 15 districts elections were held in 14, told deputy chairman of the electoral commission of Gulripsh district Susanna Triandafilidi. "In the 7th district elections declared invalid due to the violation. The decision of the election commission is not known yet, but likely repeated elections to be appointed", - she explained. 

Overall turnout in Gulripsh districtwas - 39.6%. 4268 people of 11 099 registered voters voted. 

Highest turnout - 55.5% was in Ochamchira district. As chairman of Ochamchira RIK Michael Agrba, elections were held in all districts of the region. He noted that the District Assembly deputies had been mainly young candidates, and the election was won by four of the eight women running for.

In Tkuarchal district elections were held in 14 of 15 districts, said Secretary of the Election Commission of Tkuarchal Olga Khubutia. 

«Minimum turnout threshold was exceeded in all districts, but in the 14th district, in the village of Chhortol are appointed repeated elections as the two candidates of three have the same number of votes", - said Khubutia. However, she stressed that the decision of the commission is to appoint repeated elections, not the second round of voting.

According to Tkuarchal RIK, the voter turnout in the region amounted to 46.4%.
