The list of goods exempt from VAT has been approved

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia was approved the list of goods exempt on importation from value added tax.

Sukhum. December 28. Apsnypress. Elena Poluyan. Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba stressed that the new VAT law has provided  the exemption of medicines and medical products, as well as children's products.
 
 Today, the government approved a grocery list of goods imported into the territory of the RA without paying VAT. These are: meat and dairy products, vegetables, flour, cereals and bakery products, not manufactured in the Republic of Abkhazia. As well as by-products, eggs, all oils, sugar, honey, and others.
 
 At the same time, as noted Prime Minister Artur Mikvabia, at the request of the Russian side, exempt from VAT have got all goods imported to Abkhazia for construction of facilities provided for the investment program.
 
In conclusion, Mikvabia said: "I think in the 1st quarter this list will be revised. There are quite lot of positions which are in need to be considered".
