The memorial evening devoted to the 70th jubilee of the First President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba, took place in Karachay-Cherkessia

The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba, the Head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov, chairman of the People's Assembly (Parliament) of KCR Alexander Ivanov, Chairman of the Government of Karachay-Cherkessia, Murat Kardan, members of the Government of KCR, the People's Assembly (Parliament) of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, representatives of scientific and creative intellectuals, leaders of public organizations, citizens. 

Opening the evening, the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov said that Vladislav Ardzinba was the leader of Abkhazia, not only legally, but also in the spiritual sense of the word. "The contribution of Ardzinba in the construction of an independent Abkhazian state can not be overstated, he passed with dignity and courage one of the most difficult periods for the Abkhaz people associated with military actions", - said Temrezov. 

The Head of KCR stressed that important milestone for Abkhazia and the reward for many years of service to the people of Abkhazia of Vladislav Grigorievich became the international legal recognition of Abkhazia's independence by Russia in 2008. Temrezov expressed confidence that Abkhazia and KCR will work together to find new approaches for solving common problems for the successful development and improving the welfare of citizens. "It will also continue the development of economic, social, humanitarian, informational, and cultural ties. Fraternal Republic of Abkhazia was and remains for us congenial good neighbor and friend", - added the head of KCR. 

Rashid Temrezov said that in the area of ​​Abaza in Karachay-Cherkessiaof a new secondary school is an active construction, by the decision of the Head of the KCR it will be named after the First President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba. 

Raul Khadjimba, on behalf of the Abkhazian people  thanked Rashid Temrezov for this important from the point of view of the fraternal relations between Abkhazia and the North Caucasus decision.

In his speech, Raul Khadjimba said: "Vladislav Ardzinba - is not just a unique personality, but a whole era in Abkhazia. Moreover, Ardzinba - is a very special phenomenon for the history of socio-political life of the entire post-Soviet space. " The President stressed that thanks to the high professionalism of the politician and diplomat, moral and volitional qualities, Ardzinba was able to accomplish the historic mission which foretold his destiny. "He was the main creator of the modern Abkhazian statehood. He devoted his life to the service of his people. Ardzinba combined the rare seemingly incompatible qualities of a true intellectual and at the same time a man who was surprisingly common, close and understandable to the people, who boundless love his homeland and all that was connected with it", - said Raul Khadjimba. 

Performances alternated by concert dances of the best creative teams of Karachay-Cherkessia. The memorial evening was also attended by the State Folk Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Abkhazia "Caucasus" which for the first time introduced people with dancing devoted to the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba.
