The Ministry of Economy proposed a creation of the government guarantee fund

The Ministry of Economy discussed the prospects for creating institutions to support small businesses.

Sukhum. October 18. Apsnypress. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Abkhazia held a meeting with representatives of the banking sector on the creation of institutions for supporting small businesses. The official website of the Ministry of Economy of Abkhazia informed.

 At the meeting, Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba spoke about the idea of ​​creating a government guarantee fund. "The idea is taken from foreign practice. It is important to create institutions that will work systematically and consistently, accumulating experience, " - the minister noted.

 According to Adgur Ardzinba, the essence of the idea is that the guarantee fund will determine priority projects that must meet all the requirements of the bank provided for by legislation and regulations, with the exception of collateral. The state can take over securing the full or partial through this fund.

 Representatives of the banking community presented their vision and comments on the creation of such a fund, noting that it has long been awaited.

 The Minister of Economy stressed that the opinion of the bankers themselves is very important: "We will not do anything without you. We need to understand how you are prepared for such an initiative."
