The deputy of the National Assembly (the Parliament of Abkhazia) Robert Yaylyan addressed to the Parliament and the President of Abkhazia to support the issue of recognition of the DPR and the LPR.
Sukhum. April 30. Apsnypress. The appeal says:
"Over the past year the leadership of Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republic repeatedly addressed to the leadership of the Republic of Abkhazia for recognition as sovereign states.
The people of Abkhazia knows firsthand about the hardships endured by the population of Donbass due to the criminal policy of the Kiev authorities who shot peaceful towns and villages.
The people of Donbass, as once the people of Abkhazia, stood up to defend their lives, their language, culture and spiritual values. The young republic is now in dire need of assistance to all the most necessary, require both moral and political support.
At a time when Kiev has blocked the development of Donbass, we should especially help in establishing trade and economic relations.
We can not stay out of trouble of the people. It is our duty - to assist the people of Donbass who are before the face of the threat of destruction.
I therefore appeal to the People's Assembly and the President of the Republic of Abkhazia to support the issue of recognizing the People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk as an independent sovereign states, and to provide them all possible assistance in defending the right to live in peace and self-determination.
I am confident that this decision will not be an obstacle to the recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia by other independent states".
