The prices of medicines in pharmacies satisfy neither the Ministry of Health nor the people

The main topics of discussion on the agenda were the development of the draft law "On Drugs", the interaction between the Ministry of Health and private pharmacies, policy-drug prices and quality of products sold in the country. 

The Acting Minister of Health said that between the Ministry of Health and pharmacies should be close cooperation noting that even in the basic acts in this matter there are problems. "The action plan for implementation of the instructions specified in the Treaty of alliance and strategic partnership with Russia, Abkhazia prescribed function on the right care and control in respect of medical devices and pharmaceuticals. And we will bring them into conformity with the standards", - said Goov. 

Head of the Pharmacy Ahra Adzhba noted that the part of the Ministry of Health have a claim on price control private pharmacies.

"There are a list of essential drugs. According to this list, we need to set a price", - said Adzhba.

Additionally the Minister raised the problem of the location of private pharmacies across the state medical institutions where they do not have to carry out their activities. And also about the necessity of opening-night pharmacies in all regions of Abkhazia.
