25.01.2016 16:02
Draft Law "On Amendments to the Law on VAT" proposed by the President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba, is adopted by the parliamentarians in the final reading.
Sukhum. January 25. Apsnypress. Irena Dzhopua. At the session of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia were discussed and adopted two amendments to the bill "Law on VAT". One bill was presented by the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, and the other by the Parliamentary Committee on Budget, credit institutions, taxes and finances.
Presenting the bill, Representative of the President in the Parliament Dmitry Shamba said that the document is amended to precisely those issues, which were raised by citizens over the past week. Namely, it planned to expand the list of categories of goods whose import into the territory of Abkhazia is not subject to the value added tax. "Exempt from VAT at import to Abkhazia: children's goods, textiles, hats and footwear, as well as land vehicles and parts to them", - Shamba said.
Also, due to the fact that the law on special tax does not apply to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in trade in vehicles, spare parts and related products, these entrepreneurs will pay VAT in the order which was in force until January 1, 2016.
In addition, in the first reading were adopted amendments to the Law "On Value Added Tax", presented by the chairman of the Committee on Budget, credit institutions, Taxes and Finance George Agrba. According to him, the changes will affect such positions as process and production equipment, including accessories and spare parts, raw materials for industrial production that are not manufactured in Abkhazia.
