A solemn meeting on the occasion of the meeting Relay Victory dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, held in the capital, at the memorial to the Unknown Soldier.

Opening the meeting, Deputy Chief of the Border Guard Department of FSB of Russia in Abkhazia, Colonel Vadim Vasilyev thanked the veterans present for the great victory, noting that the action in the first place - a tribute to all veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
"Victory Relay continues its movement to the towns of Abkhazia. The symbol relay will visit where heroes are buried and held more than two hundred kilometers to places of military glory",- said Vasilyev.
The chairman of the State Security Service of RA Zurab Marganiya noted the importance of such events in the education of young people. "Young people should be brought up on the traditions of the winners to the Nazi plague could not spread, because we see what is happening in many countries, where there are processes for the development of neo-fascist movement", - said Marganiya.
In addition to the rally, under Relay Victory representatives of the Federal Security Service and the State Security Service and veterans will be held courage lesson in high school №2 S. Pushkin. In the end, the Museum of Military Glory at 15:00 held a gala concert.
In Abkhazia Victory Relay campaign will run until March 17. Then the character will be given to border agents of the FSB of Russia in Karachay-Cherkessia and continue their movement through the battle in the North Caucasus.
