Unification for the sake of Victory - one of the brightest pages of the general history of Russia and Abkhazia

Sukhum. May 8. Apsnypress. The message reads, in part:

"In this holy and great day we pay special tribute to the unparalleled heroism of war veterans and front workers - selfless Soviet people who defeated the Nazi aggressors and saved the world from enslavement. The victory was achieved not only by force of arms, but also the friendship and unity of the people and their determination to fight shoulder to shoulder for the freedom and independence of the Motherland.

This unification for the sake of Victory - one of the brightest pages of the general history of Russia and Abkhazia. Little Abkhazia sent to the front more than 55,000 people, a large part of them did not return from the battlefield. The memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War, as well as pride for the courage and dedication of heroes who fought for Moscow, defended the Caucasus, participated in the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, liberated Europe and hoisted the flag of the victory over the Reichstag - unite our people, connect them with unbreakable ties of allied relations".
