Valery Bganba held a meeting of the Security Council

The meeting participants discussed issues of protecting the population from a new coronavirus infection.

Sukhum. March 17. Apsnypress. Acting President of the Republic of Abkhazia Valery Bganba held a meeting of Security Council on protection of population from a new coronavirus infection. The official website of the RA Cabinet of Ministers reported.
 
 The meeting participants discussed the current situation, preventive measures to combat the virus, the operation mode of the Abkhaz-Russian border and the Psou checkpoint.  
 
Abkhaz Foreign Minister Daur Kove informed Security Council members about restrictions imposed by the Russian Government at border crossings.  

  So, from March 18 to May 1, border crossing is only possible for residents of Abkhazia who possess the citizenship of the Russian Federation.
 

 The restriction does not apply to freight vehicles and persons accompanying them.  

 Minister of Health and Social Welfare Tamaz Tsakhnakiya spoke about the current work of the department: “The situation is stable today, the work of our teams at the border is in full, a thermal imager will be installed tomorrow, everyone will have to go through it. Today we carry out non-contact temperature measurement of citizens crossing the border. For this period, crossing the border with temperature has not yet been recorded. Let me remind you that next to the checkpoint there is a mobile clinic where doctors carry out round-the-clock duty. ”
 
 In addition, at a meeting of Security Council, additional measures were discussed to protect public health, the work of interagency headquarters for protection against the virus, implementation of headquarters instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health and Social Services on the ground.
