Veterans of the War of Abkhazia outraged by statements and resolution of the Congress of the political party "Amtsakhara"

Sukhum. October 23. Apsnypress. The appeal of the veterans of the War of Abkhazia 1992-93 says: 

 
"We are outraged by the statements and resolution of the Congress political party "Amtsakhara", which was held on October 21 in Sukhum. One gets the impression that it did not happen here, in Abkhazia, but somewhere in another country.
 
Just over a year ago were held presidential elections, won R.D. Khadjimba, the people trusted him to run the country. His opponents congratulated the President on the election victory. It seems that everything has calmed down, you can live in peace and work for the good of the country. We are tired of constant tension, the impression that the war is not over yet for us.  

 
Rather than stand by the country's leadership and help in restoring order, some people, for the sake of their ambitions want to take revenge, and thereby make an even greater split in our society.
 
Dear brothers! Dear friends! Resolution adopted by the Congress "Amtsakhara" - is the way to the loss of statehood. Can not they really understand this? After all, there are people who until recently ran the country. How can one demand to hold elections every year ?! We think it is clear what kind of mine lay under our sovereignty, our statehood.
 
Probably, the authorities have mistakes. We, too,  are not satisfied with everything, but we believe that the course of R.D. Khadjimba to change the situation in Abkhazia is loyal, correct. Because we have to go forward for the sake of our children, our country, for the sake of those who laid down their heads in the name of life and prosperity of Abkhazia!

We appeal to all who are not indifferent to the fate of Abkhazia! Together, we will support the government and the President of our country!"
