Vice President: Flag Day is equal to the Victory Day

Sukhum. July 23. Apsnypress. "Our case is truly unique and we are the only ones of all the Circassian world who possesses the independence in their historical lands. Our independence is worth it. The first attributes of the statehood are the flag, emblem and anthem. And, of course, Flag Day is not only formalized, but equal to the Victory Day and in general it is the point of our existence, it is a very important holiday for us.  

It would be good to enter into the everyday life with our national dress, national dress to wear on Flag Day and weddings, as the rules of etiquette and good manners. This tradition spread among Abkhazian diaspora in Turkey. It was easier to preserve their self-identity in the ceremonial things, because after the Caucasian war a long time we have been "guilty" and Abkhazians were not allowed to live together in order to dissolve our self-identity. In Turkey they settled compactly and preserved many traditions. Today to Abkhazian wedding in Turkey all come dressed in national costumes, singing folk songs, and then, already in the late afternoon when there is only the youth, they dress in modern clothes. The national dress is our power".
