Vice-President Vitaly Gabniya was in a working visit to the Republic of South Ossetia

Vice-President was accompanied by Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sport Bagrat Hutaba.

Sukhum. March 29. Apsnypress.  There was a meeting of Vitaly Gabniya with the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov during the visit.
 
 During the meeting with Leonid Tibilov, Vitaly Gabniya stressed that one of the major challenges facing the leadership of the fraternal republics, is to strengthen the Abkhaz-South Ossetian contacts. He highlighted the help of the honored wrestling coach of Russia Dzhambolat Tedeyev in organizing the visit of the delegation from Abkhazia. "Dzhambolat Ilyich today successfully coached athletes from Abkhazia, and has achieved impressive results, his students win prizes in the world arena, for which we express our gratitude", - said Vice President. Vitaly Gabniya added that for his significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports of Abkhazia Dzhambolat Tedeyev was awarded "Akhdz-Apsha» III degree.
 
 South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov noted that the relations between the brotherly peoples of Abkhazia and South Ossetia should be deepened and filled with new content. Tibilov praised the assistance of the government of Abkhazia in return of South Ossetian citizens, serving sentences in Georgian prisons. "Our joy has no limit, today our people are at home with their families, and we are very grateful to our Abkhaz colleagues for that", said South Ossetian President.  

   Vitaly Gabniya also had a meeting with the participants of hostilities in South Ossetia, in particular with the President of the Foundation supporting the wounded who were disabled in the fighting in South Ossetia in 1989-2008 years, Madina Plieva. They discussed the issues of rendering assistance in the rehabilitation and prosthetics for South Ossetian citizens in the territory of Abkhazia in Gagra Rehabilitation Center. Earlier, during the visit of the delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia to Abkhazia there had been reached agreement on the issue.
 
 Vitaly Gabniya and Bagrat Hutaba also visited Tskhinvali boarding school for orphans and children left without parental care as a result of the fighting. The agenda of the meeting with the management of the school was the question of youth and cultural exchange between Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as the organization of summer leisure in Abkhazia for children from the boarding school. "I am confident that such an exchange at the level of the younger generation will pass our warm relations to our children", - emphasized Vitaly Gabniya.  

   The Delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia visited Vladikavkaz, where Vice-President Vitaly Gabniya met with the Acting Chairman of the Government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Taimuraz Tuskaev. The meeting discussed the possibility of strengthening the socio-economic relations and sports contacts. Teimuraz Touskaev noted that the independent Republic of Abkhazia and Ossetia have long-standing friendly relations in many fields.
