Vladimir Putin awarded Inal Ardzinba with a diploma and a commemorative medal of WFYS

Inal Ardzinba was awarded a diploma for contribution to the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi.

Russian statesman, State Councilor Inal Ardzinba was awarded with a commemorative medal for contribution to the preparation and holding of the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi. The festival was a world-wide event and gathered a record number of participants from different countries of the world.
  
 Diplomat, goodwill ambassador of Abkhazia Kan Taniya congratulated the fellow countryman: "The festival in Sochi is a unique event of a planetary scale, bright and unforgettable. It is important to note that the delegation from Abkhazia took part in the event for the first time. Particularly active were the members of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, who participated in the first Global Forum of Young Diplomats, which took place on the margins of the World Festival of Youth and Students. All the Abkhaz delegates expressed admiration for the scale and content of the WFYS. The festival was supported by President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba. The support of the head of state was of great importance to the Abkhaz delegation. "
 
 Taniya stressed that the Festival set an absolute record in terms of the number of participants: "Nearly 25,000 young people from 188 countries took part in the Festival. This is an absolute record in the history of its conduct. The work of the Festival was supported by 5,000 volunteers. "
  
 Taniya also drew attention to success of educational program of WFYS. In its framework, 818 educational events were held with the participation of 1,325 speakers.
