Vyacheslav Chirikba informed the President on the results of his working visit to the Russian Federation and the 35th round of international discussions in Geneva

The Foreign Minister briefed the President on the results of his working visit to the Russian Federation and the meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia on March 18 as well as on the participation of the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia in the 35th round of international discussions on security and stability in the South Caucasus, held on 22 -23 of March in Geneva.
 
 Within the framework of his working visit to Moscow, the Foreign Minister met with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin. They discussed topical issues of bilateral relations, as well as a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
 
 "In furtherance of the accords reached in the course of your meeting with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on February 18 this year, we discussed practical arrangements for the simplified acquisition of Russian citizenship to residents of Abkhazia", ​​- said the Minister. He added that the procedure of approvals on these issues is not simple enough, but the start of this process has already been given.
 
 Another important topic on the agenda of meetings in the Russian Foreign Ministry was a relief regime crossing the Abkhaz-Russian border. "This is an issue that our citizens are particularly concerned about, it is also underway, and we have hopes for positive changes", - said Vyacheslav Chirikba.
 
 Foreign Minister informed the President about the results of the next round of Geneva discussions. "All the participants have positively noted the Abkhaz side to promote the exchange of prisoners between Georgia and South Ossetia", - said Vyacheslav Chirikba. According to him, no doubt, the most positive result of the negotiations between the Abkhaz and Georgian sides on the Geneva site has been reaching agreement on the resumption of the work of the Mechanism to respond and and prevent incidents (MPRI) in Gal.
 
 Vyacheslav Chirikba also informed the President on participation in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the philosopher, Chevalier of the Order "Akhdz-Apsha» I degree Murat Yagan organized by the Moscow Abkhaz diaspora in the framework of the project "Diaspora faces". Within the evening was shown a documentary film directed by Amra Nachkebia about Murat Yagan, based on materials of Vyacheslav Chirikba, and there was a presentation of the Russian version of the book by Murat Yagan "Ancient doctrine Kyabza".
