We categorically reject any opposition of Russian to the rest society - Igor Lischenko

Sukhum. August 21. Apsnypress. Welcoming those present, RA President Raul Khadjimba said: "Today's meeting will give a new impetus to our relationship. Russian community is a part of the Abkhaz society - unfortunately, today it is a small amount. To a large extent it is the older generation, many of the Russian left outside the state, because of the processes that took place in the 90s. Today, much is being done by the Russian leadership, the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Abkhazia to address the issues facing the Russian living in Abkhazia. And, of course, with our mutual movement towards each other the problem will be resolved".  

President outlined the position of the country's leadership on various activities. In this regard, the Head of State commented on the work of the Russian community: "We would like the Russian community to be monolithic, able to influence on the processes occurring in the country. Our relationship should be aimed at creating conditions for a positive development of society. We should solve together all the issues Abkhazia is facing". 

Raul Khadjimba said that the Presidential Administration will introduce corresponding to the position of coordinator of the national communities of Abkhazia. 

For his part, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia Semyon Grigoriev, who presented the Russian community at the meeting, said: "This meeting is for the first time in recent years. And this characteristic reflects the attention paid by the Abkhaz leadership to the problems of the national communities as a whole, and the Russian community in particular. " 

On the forms and directions spoke the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo in Abkhazia, Counselor of the Embassy of Russia in Abkhazia Sergey Fedchenko. At the same time, the chairman of the Coordination Council Igor Lischenko said: "We believe that our main task is to get together and solve common problems of our home, where we live, we took part in the war in the postwar reconstruction of the economy. We categorically reject any opposition of the Russian community to the rest! That is our position". 

Regional representatives spoke about the problems of the Russian community, and concrete examples. In addition, we are talking about a more careful approach to the registration of individual organizations of compatriots. So, a member of the Coordinating Council, chairman of the "Association of legal assistance to Russian compatriots" Vladimir Popov said, "That's the name of the organization," Russian diaspora of Abkhazia". A person living abroad, read and finds that it represents all Russians of Abkhazia. But the organization is not even part of the Coordinating Council. This is a question to the Ministry of Justice, which registers without checking".  

Concluding the meeting, Raul Khadjimba said, "For the people of Abkhazia, we are a single body. And I would like to make this body healthy. It should not be that someone lives well, and the other near - poorly. We should meet and talk openly about the problems".
