We need to work actively with the people who are willing to cooperate - Raul Khadjimba

Elena Paluyan.  RA President Raul Khadjimba described history and prospects of bilateral relations: "After the war, we have established relations with Tatarstan and started to work. That time was very difficult, but they helped us. Later, relations between the two countries did not maintain the proper level. But today, we once again came to the the path of development of mutual relations. Tatarstan has achieved great success in the field of tourism, economy and new technologies. It is necessary to pay attention to it".   

For his part, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: "I want to thank the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba for the fact that he visited our country, and for the opportunity to come to Abkhazia. As part of the business relationship level of cooperation is low, the turnover of half a million dollars - is very little. One of the most interesting areas for mutual cooperation is agriculture. We demand products manufactured in Abkhazia. We are ready to provide a trading platform for their implementation. In addition, Abkhazia is one of the most attractive resort destinations". Speaking about the prospects of cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov said: "We are one of the largest producers of polymers of household chemistry, autostructure. These articles and items needed in your country. We are also ready to cooperate in the field of education. Students from Abkhazia can study at the universities of the Republic of Tatarstan, specifically, we are talking about medical education".  

Minnikhanov informed that the results of the visit will be formulated by the relevant protocol assignments.  

Concluding Raul Khajimba said: "We need to work actively with the people who are willing to cooperate. There is an interest in many areas, and I have no doubt that we will work in them. The more alive contacts, the better the result!"
