Youth asset of RPP "United Abkhazia" met with the head of IYPO "Sodruzhestvo"

Executive Director of the international youth organization "Sodruzhestvo" (Commonwealth) Magomed Aliyev for first the time has visited Abkhazia.

Sukhum. November 20. Apsnypress. Irena Dzhopua. The representatives of youth asset of the Republican political party "United Abkhazia" met with Aliyev and discussed prospects of cooperation between youth organizations of Abkhazia and IYPO "Sodruzhestvo".

Aliyev said that their organization is interested in the possibility of working with the youth and his Abkhazian visit is exploratory in nature. "This is my first visit to Abkhazia as the head of the organization. I came to know, what does the Abkhazian youth, what is interested in. What joint opportunities we have", - Aliyev said.

He stressed that the "Sodruzhestvo" does not interfere in the political affairs of countries in which it operates. "This is a principled position. We are engaged in international humanitarian commonwealth in the field of youth work. Regardless of the political situation, we have to work with youth. If we wait until one or the other country recognizes, it turns out that young people are no use to anybody, and all the work of youth and public diplomacy turns to farce to retrieve their own selfish purposes", - he said.

Aliyev said, that their organization is the largest in the former Soviet Union and in addition to the former Soviet republics, still works with some 25 countries around the world. Most of the projects come up with young people themselves, and the organization helps in their implementation.

In turn, one of the participants Alkhas Manargiya said that the Abkhaz side is interested in cooperation with "Sodruzhestvo", as an organization that promotes and implements the idea of international communication. "The Abkhaz youngsters are very talented, clever and promising. But the problem is that reaching a certain level of development that can be clearly seen, for example, in sports, further development stops due to external factors. In this sense, we are interested to talk to you, because your organization operates in a large number of countries ", - stressed Manargiya.
